My apologies - I did not realize that there was a CrystalBlend Forum

Hello Everyone,

I am following this tutorial http://b2cs.delcorp.org/index.php/Portal_tutorial, when I try to run it, I get nothing but blackness.

I have posted a zip of the blend file here:

Once I added a player entity, I was able to make it work somewhat, I can enter the environment, but I can no longer use the up or down arrow to move forward and backward.  The right and left arrows still work for turning, but not the up and down arrows.

Make your room bigger.

Note the default player has some size, and you are making too small a world. Try to experiment a bit with sizes before starting with portals.
