1  Associate Projects / CrystalBlend Discussion / MSVC problems on: July 29, 2005, 06:45:13 pm

The projects has some issues that visuall sstudio doesn't like.

- Can we convert .c to .cpp files ?
- Variable called 'new', not really recommended Smiley
Lots of other changes needed, I will give some more details, if time allows.

Did anyone ever try to compile this project using MS Visual Studio ? That would help new-comers a lot !

Thanks,
Erwin

why is there this include in csutil.h ? It doesn't have  SCF_IMPL_N defined...

#include "csutil/scf_impl.h"

3  Associate Projects / CrystalBlend Discussion / Unsuported value of SCF_IMPL_N on: July 29, 2005, 03:19:45 pm
I just downloaded latest current versions of CS, CEL and CrystalBlend, and version 13 of win32 support libs.

Compiling the project, I got this error, in quite a few projects.

d:\erwincoumans\crystalblend\cs\include\csutil/scf_impl.h(105) : fatal error C1189: #error :  Unsuported value of SCF_IMPL_N

What can I do ? I'm using Visual Studio 2005, Beta 2 (VC8)

>Hmm... that's strange? Exactly from what date is your download of CS? And you are using version 013 of the cs-winlibs?

the version.txt in crystal_extern tells:
0.99r0_011

So I might have an old version. The link error is just in that ode tutorial, one of the most interesting one for me, when I want to look into adding bullet support smiley

mmm, I did install cs-win32libs. Perhaps executing VCsupport.exe was required. or a reboot.
I'll try again later.

Thanks,
Erwin

Just curious, all plugins seem to depend on zlib.lib. Why do they all need their own copy of the compression lib ? Can't that be shared ?
7  Associate Projects / CrystalBlend Discussion / fast on: July 18, 2005, 02:53:47 pm
Hey Jorrit,

You are developing pretty fast ! Are you having holiday, or what ?
I'm busy too, integrating the bullet physics into gameblender. Next thing would be getting up to speed on the crystalblend.

good luck,
Erwin
