How would you suggest doing this - how would you say a wiki should be used and kept clean? What pitfalls should I avoid in using them (i.e., how are they evil)?

I would suggest to only give write permission to your game designers and have a very very clean structure. Make small categories like "Weapon Design proposals" and "Story Related Ideas".

Maybe other OpenGL apps have turned it on by default. If you have an nvidia card, you can change it in your display settings from "Application controlled" to "Default on" or something.

You might want to try switching on VSync by default in your graphics driver. Only a wild guess though.

When running your application in Debug mode, in the right bottom there is a window saying "Callstack", "Breakpoints", "Command Window". Just select the contents of the Callstack tab and use Ctrl+C to copy it

Also, a pretty good way (if you *have* to use maya) is exporting to .obj, then importing into blender or 3D Max. It only works for meshes though.

Since quite many people decide to make MMORPGs these days... I can only refer to a book written by the Godfather of MU*s: Bartle's Designing Virtual Worlds. Some pages gather quite enormous amounts of "Bartle Test" results which are a pretty good start to see what players you should attract and how you do that.
