1  Associate Projects / Crystal Core Discussion / Not trying to be annoying, but.... on: May 27, 2006, 03:08:25 am
I was contacted a good couple of months ago about writing some music for Crystal Core. I've tried e-mailing a number of people about the music situation and have received no response. Can someone please let me know what's going on? I actually e-mailed one of my songs to someone working on this game (I forget who), and I still have no idea what (or if) the song is going to be used. is the song I sent.

Hm 75 reads, no replies and one e-mail. =)

I just read on the main site that you guys are shooting for a June 24 demo release. I also noticed that at least two pieces of music will be needed...a menu theme and a level theme. Are you still looking for possible music? Where would I send my music files to? The reason I ask is because I already sent "Raze" to a Mr. Anders Wisur. Thanks in advance for any information.

Hello, I was contacted a while ago about using one of my songs, "Raze," in the Crystal Core demo. I e-mailed the song to one of my contacts and haven't received a response. (It's been a good month probably since I e-mailed it). I was just wondering how far along the demo production is going and when you guys will be wanting to incorporate music. I wouldn't mind writing a few other tunes for the game either. Are there certain levels (control plant, lab, jungle...whatever) that need music written for them. Do you need a main theme? An ending theme?

Here's a link to "Raze" if you want to have a listen....

And a few more links...

"Rock Demo"

"Breakbeat Demo"

"Electronica Demo" - this one is very basic so far, lots of work that still needs to be done on it

Obviously, I would match the level's "feel" to the tune, and I can incorporate a dual-track effect where the heavy instruments fade away when there is no one attacking you, and then come back when the enemy is present. I can do ambience, too, if you would rather have a more passive track.

Let me know what you think and any information as to the demo's development progress would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
