how to use 3ds2lev ....?

hi
i have a car model which format is 3ds , and i want to convert it Genmesh format so i can load it with crystal space (..from my code ...)
lately i found 3ds2lev but i don't know how to use it .
the question is : can 3ds2lev prgram do this work , and if it can , how can i use it
