okay I am a noob to all of this. I do know a good bit of C++ but I use a Borland Compiler which I know I can't use for this. I will be downloading a Gcc compiler soon but I need to know what to download from the site. It is all very confusing. Then can someone plese tell me how to compile CS.

You need an IDE (for example Code::Blocs), a compiler and a make tool. Download Code::Blocks with this tools, or download VC2005 Express  (easy to compile CS with this), or other IDE with mingw+make  and RTFM. The Crystal Space documetation has a very good compiilng guide .

Okay I need Code::Blocks but can you give me links to anything else I need and I can't use VC++ or anything related to it because I am running on a Windows 98.

EDIT: Okay I just downloaded Code::Block and I will download MinGW soon. Is that all I will need ro is there more?
