Well if you start celtest and walk around you see that the actor can't walk through objects and walks on things. Is that sufficient?

Not at the moment.

What is a 'tow' camera?

You can easily make two views. Walktest has a demo of that (press shift-s to split the view).
In CEL there is currently no real support for this although it wouldn't be THAT hard to add.

Hmm... Perhaps check the hovertest app? That one uses physics.

It is part of CEL. So if you have CEL you have it.

"pcdynamics_collision" message is sent to an objects behaviour whenever a collision happens in ODE. As far as handling the collisions goes- ODE does that work for you.
