Yes crystalcore is supposed to come with a configure file  Smiley

Try doing another cvs update. Might be best to make a clean copy though.

Does celtst and walktest work with CEL and CrystalSpace, respectively?

deckerego, as far as I know, not really, I uninstall everything and try recompile from scratch, everything compiles fine but if you compile with cel in the cs dir and try running the files that are compile, I get something about "can't find libz-cs"

Keen, there is no download directory that contains the configure file, exactly where is this configure file on the CC website ?

Just tell me which file to download, I'm not going the whole damn thing

The "can't find libz-cs" either means that you havent downloaded and installed the cswin32libs properly, or you need to move the dlls to the directories.

EDIT: You can download it through the online CVS http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/crystal/CS/, but if you're missing that file, chances are you are missing some other files too. So its probably better to redownload it all through the cvs (or you could just try a cvs update to see if tht works).

Keen is right. After you get the new win32 libs, try CrystalSpace alone (no CEL) and ensure you can run walktest. After walktest runs successfully, then try CEL. Lastly you can try CrystalCore.

Keen, I'm not talking about the config files for crystalspace, I'm talking about crystal core. I'm now going to compile crystalspace without cel and core and see what happens, if you need more proof then I take snapshot if I have to.

When instructions said the latest version, is it talking about the 98.004 STABLE version or the 99 development version ?

I'm pretty sure it means the cvs version.

I believe I got cel to compile, you should give a example with the instructions, like :ex (C:/duh/cs) then it will be (export CRYSTAL=/c/duh/cs) and (export PATH=$PATH:/c/duh/cs)

This time I down load the latest CVS SNAPSHOT unstable version. Don't see any cel files that be use for test and I still don't see a configure and jam file for CRYSTAL CORE.

Here's the cel compile log.

Do you get errors while compiling things? The configure script seemed to run just fine, but your output doesn't have anything from jam or gcc.

I ran jam, it's fine, just help me with the Crystal Core.

So what step of building things are you at now? Do celtst and walktest work fine now?

Did you set the CRYSTAL environment variable? Otherwise, do so (the manual tells you to Smiley
