movie recording limits?

Thanks in advance for any answers anyone can provide.

I have been trying to use the movie recorder plugin to get a video output of my Crystal Space application. However, after a certain amount of time the application crashes with the error "File size limit exceeded (core dumped)" on the terminal window under which I launched my application. It seems to happen any time I write ~2 GB to the disk. (I have more space than this, my disk is not full.)

Is there a designed hard limit on the maximum file size I can write or can this be set in a configuration file somewhere? Alternatively, am I running into a bug? Any suggestions would be helpful.
