Newbie needs help with installing on Mac

OK I come from the world of Blender. I saw Crystal Space on the Blender Artists Forums. I came here and downloaded The crystalspace-src-1.0.1.zip. I think I downloaded the wrong thing. No offense, but to new comers who are use to "Download for Mac" links, this site seems very vague.

Anyway. I followed some of the install instructions. Worked my way to "./configure" and I got this message: "no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH"

This is the point were I figured I needed some help. . .

I use Mac OS X 10.4.9

You must write this ->
cd (drag'n'drop the folder of crystal space here)
./configure
make install
