2 problems one with sound, one with waterdemo

when I run any of the demos that have sound, I get this...

crystalspace.maploader: Could not get sound loader
crystalspace.maploader: Could not get sound driver
crystalspace.maploader: Could not get model converter
crystalspace.maploader: Could not get model crossbuilder


Also, waterdemo crashes immediately upon running...

crystalspace.vfscachemgr.createfile: could not create "lm_precalc_info" in VFS dir /cache.

I'm running MSYS/MingW on WindowsXP.  I'm using the built-in sound which is whatever nForce3 motherboards use.

Do you have the CRYSTAL environment variable set?

Nope, didn't see anything in the installation instructions about it.  What does it need to point to?

I set the variable to my /c/cs/ directory.  I'll see if that works.

The CRYSTAL environment variable should be in the instructions somewhere... it is just an environment variable that's set to be the absolute pathname to your Crystal Space installation.

We probably need to create a sticky for that topic

The errors you're getting means that it can't load the given plugins. So they were either a) not compiled or b) not found. If your environment variables aren't set, then (b) would be your problem. If you have problems while compiling or running the configure script, (a) would be the cause.
