I have some questions about CS...

1) Can you make a multiplayer game out of this? And if so how many people are able to join?

2) Is this easy-to-use for beginners like me?

3) What type of programming does CS use?

4) HOW DO I START THIS PROGRAM!! I CANT FIND ANY EXE FILES!!!!

Yes, number of people is something that is not controlled by Crystal Space. That depends on how you implement the server.

CS is not that easy but it is getting easier. Recently the documentation got a big overhaul to make things considerably easier. There are several tutorials and you can get a lot of help here on the forums or on irc.

3) What type of programming does CS use?

Not sure what you mean but CS uses C++ and object oriented.

There are none. You need to have a compiler and compile Crystal Space on your own.

There are a few demos you can download however:

Umm... you have to compile the source code to build an application.

You might want to start by reading the sticky "Resources for Beginners to C/C++"

I think there is some confusion here...

CrystalSpace is distributed as a number of source files. From Webopedia at http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/S/source_code.html:
Quote
Initially, a programmer writes a program in a particular programming language. This form of the program is called the source  program, or more generically, source code. To execute the program, however, the programmer must translate it into machine language, the language that the computer understands. The first step of this translation process is usually performed by a utility called a compiler. The compiler translates the source code into a form called object code.

So you must first compile CrystalSpace to build all the necessary libraries and executables needed for your own code to run.

Greetings,

I downloaded the demo it looks wonderful. but i read the readme file and it says:

This is a demo that is included with CEL. It is not a finished game at all.
It just shows what you can do with Blender, Crystal Space, and CEL to make
something that is almost a game without any coding at all (using the CEL
quest manager). There are moving platforms, buttons, lights that you can turn
on, elevators and keys you need to find so that doors can open.

is that really true?  i'm not a programmer and if i can make a small game without any coding then this project its awesome for beginners and for programmers.

In a way, yes...  that demo didn't use any c++ code.  Just xml (another language), in the world (thats the name) file.
