Okay I was able to compile CS (but with a few errors) with MSVC 2008 C++. Anyways I started running the walktest.exe and some of the graphics are checkereboard textured even on the flames (weird?). In the command prompt it says:

nvrmind after a long day of trying to figure out what to do i unistall the whole thing and then reinstall cs with the correct directiories and finally was able to compile cs successfully(with no errors) and run the walktest with no probs
