a problem i've been having

hello i'm new to these forums
i have downloaded the source files onto my computer as well as the windows library pack,MinGW and msys
i have gotten to the part where i'm supposed to enter "./configure" before making all however when i enter"./configure" it comes back with a message reading "no such file or directory"
i was wondering if you have any suggestions

Then I'm guessing you're not in a shell. You would need to be running a command shell (or likewise) to execute shell scripts.

You'll need to be in a bash shell or something likewise to execute a .sh file. For example, in the tutorials it has you run MSYS' command shell.

i'm running it in msys and i have been following the tutorial
just so i know we're understanding each other correctly(crystal space is in the folder C:\cs)
i this what i'm supposed to be doing?

Do an ls - I'm pretty sure what you need to run is ./configure.sh

What did you download (filename)? If you wanted a CVS snapshot, it's a common mistake that a diff file and not an actual snapshot is downloaded.
