Can you be more specific? Copy/paste a bit more of the output you are getting here.

Also what version of Crystal Space are you using?

That's very weird. I have not seen that before. Is this with mingw/msys?

Did you also install the cs-winlibs package?

Also how exactly did you install mingw+msys? From the global mingw and msys packages?

ok, by manually mkdir'ing the folder

out/msysx86/optimize/libs/csgeom

the error is now

Default@TINYPC ~/acspace/CS
..
C++ ./out/msysx86/optimize/libs/csgeom/box.o
spawn: No such file or directory

seems to be having trouble making the files?

There is some MSYS bug where it fails to create a file or directory but doesn't report an error. Perhaps this is what is happening in your case. (Usually, however, it happens somewhat randomly rather than persistently as you experience.) I presume that you have not run out of disk space or process resources or whatnot?

  Try to change the run compatibility mode for bjam.exe. Set it to windows 95.
  Just riht click bjam.exe, compatibility tab.
  It worked for me under WXP.
  Hope have helped.
