hi,

i managed to build all the demos successfully on .net 2003 (windows).

when i tried running walktest or simple1 at the CS root directory (where all the dlls are), it crashed after the loading time is displayed.

i did a debug and found that the crash point is always at
[0be280d7] (genmesh.dll)csGenmeshMeshObjectFactory::SetupVertexBuffer+0xd7

i tried this on machines with nvidia 6800 and radeon x600 and the got same results.

can anyone tell me what could be the problem? do i have to modify the vfs file to run CS proporly on windows?

thanks a lot!

┬┐Did you install the "CS-Win32Libs"?, these libraries are required by Crystal Space.

If you haven't download these libraries you can download them here:
ftp://sunsite.dk/projects/crystal/support/win32/

If you want a little information about these libraries, please visit this section of the CS wiki:
http://www.crystalspace3d.org/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=CS+External+Packages

A more complete information can be found in section 2.3 of the Crystal Space user manual.

i did install the necesary libraries but it still crashes.

from the output console, i see a list of events until when the level flarge is loaded and then there's a line saying "time to load...."

so i supposed there's no problems with plugins as it would be logical for CS to complain a missing plugin rather than crashing at some vertex buffer manager function calls.

is it necessary to allter the vfs file when running CS in windows?
