Hello there,

I remember reading once that it "should be possible" to make changes to landscape meshes, similar to that of the game Red Faction (ie: an explosion causes a crater or a hole in a wall, which is viewable and also effects collision detection). I think this would be an excellent feature to bring light to and show others how to go about doing. I am thinking just a simple tutorial would do, something like spawning a single explosion sphere which "removes" the part of landscape that it collides/intersects with... if this would be too complex, then perhaps just showing how to do it with some static numbers just to illustrate proof-of-concept. Although the former, of having an area calculated from a sphere would have even more practical applications. But anything to show how this would be done would be great.
