Problem with compiling CEL !

I had already compiled CS ver. 0.98.004 a while ago and have been successfully using it.
Now, while trying to complie CEL 0.98 with VC++ 6.0, I'm getting the following error:

Linking...
LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file "libcstool_d.lib"
Error executing link.exe.

grpall_cel.lib - 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)

Any ideas what could be wrong?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Did you set the CRYSTAL env var? Did you correctly fill in all settings in the project? Do you have both a debug build of CS+CEL?

The CRYSTAL variable is set.
What settings need to be filled in the project? There is no mention of any in the install documentation.
Err...how can I tell whether I have debug build or not? I downloaded the zipped file cel98_002 (2261 kb) ? CS is already complied and running.

Well did you select the Debug or Release profile to build CS (or Debug_NR or Release_NR)? You should do the same for CEL.

0.98 is getting a bit old though. You might be better off using the latest pseudo-stable release. It is a lot better (we will soon release a new pseudo-stable).

Thanks, I suppose I'd download the 099_pseudo-stable release for CS as well as the compatibe CEL and start all over again

So I downloaded the CS Pseudo Stable Release (0.99 from 3 September 2005), compatible CEL as well as compatible cs-win32libs.
Compiling CS with Visual C++ 6.0 in either Debug or Release modes, I'm gétting the following error:

Did that....then it gave about 25 more errors
Finally decided it's time to upgrade to VC++ 2005
