Have been going through the simple 3 tutorial, and as a twist tried to put the resource files(the world files etc.) to a location outside of CS firectory. Since i wanted to mount the desired directory which is located at (im using Win XP) C:\Crystalspace\Crystalspace apps\Resources, without changing the vfs.cfg file, i had to make an environment variable to define C:. I named the environment variable ROT.

the code i used to mount was:

csRef<iVFS> VFS (csQueryRegistry<iVFS> (object_reg));

VFS->Mount("resources", "$(ROT)$/Crystalspace$/Crystalspace apps$/Resources$/");

The question i have is: if there is another way to define a physical path in Win xp and map it to VFS cia code without having to create an environment varaible?
