Hello,

When trying to build either wkstypical or wksnewrenderer using Visual C++ 2005, I constantly get the error:

c:\crystalspace\cs\include\csutil\win32\csosdefs.h(183) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'windef.h': No such file or directory

Any help appreciated!

XirtamatriX.

As Visual Studio 2005 isn't released yet i assume you use the beta.
To make it work you need to download Platform SDK from Microsoft (the Visual C++ Express does not contain Platform SDK, which is essential component to build native windows applications)

After much searching, I found that the "Platform SDK" thebolt is refering to can is called "Windows® Server 2003 SP1 Platform SDK Web Install" and is available here,

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A55B6B43-E24F-4EA3-A93E-40C0EC4F68E5&displaylang=en

*admin: This is a topic from almost a year ago, it didn't really need to be bumped especially considering that information is now in the documentation.*

R.Bassett, thanks, it was helpful of you to clarify this and post the link here.
I somehow do not see mention of this anywhere in the official installation docs...
