Integrate CS in an existing project

Is it possible to integrate CS in an existing application (let say a multimedia engine) and to use only the 3D rendering part ?
I'm asking this because I saw that one must use a script to generate a base template (createproject.sh).

You don't have to use that script. That's just to make things easier. It is perfectly possible to use CS in other existing applications.
