Now that the summertime is coming to an end it's time to get back to the real world and that includes losing the extra weight that we have gained. For most of us we may have only gained 5 pounds. but if you are like me you may have gained quite a bit more weight than just 5 pounds. And that means that we have to put some serious effort into losing that extra fat. There are many steps when it comes to developing a weight loss program. The first step is deciding that we are going to take this seriously and find a weight loss program that resonates with us. Some people might prefer doing a low carb type of weight loss program While others just prefer to count calories. To be perfectly honest with you just doing low carbs and just doing low calorie type of diet is not totally perfect and helping you lose weight. Your diet should definitely include a small amount of good healthy carbohydrates. A nice amount of high-quality protein, lots of vegetables and an adequate amount of good healthy fats. And now here comes to calories. Because even if you are watching your carbohydrates in your sugars you still need to watch your calorie intake. If you look at the recent studies over the past several years for the majority of people they recommend consuming anywhere from 1200 to 1500 calories per day. Of course this depends on our level of physical activity during the day and our body frame structure. But as far as determining the exact calories that you should be eating everyday you should really consult with the weight loss professional. The Next Step is to figure out what type of exercise you will be doing. If you are looking to just lose pounds and inches it is recommended that you do some sleep of low intensity cardiovascular exercise 5 to 7 days a week. The maximum weight loss is going to occur when you were doing 16 minutes of low intensity cardiovascular activity. For me I like to walk. I do have a significant back injury and walking is great rehab for my low back injuries because it strengthens the core musculature of the body and it's great because it burns body fat quite efficiently. And because you can walk literally any place there is no need to join any type of gym. And you don't need any type of special equipment. Most of us just need a good pair of sneakers and you're good to go. After you have reached the point that you're close to your weight loss goal as some people recommend that you do some type of resistance training to tone your body up. Resistance training can consist of doing calaesthetics, working out with rubber bands or joining a gym and using the equipment there. Once again I highly recommend that you work with a trained professional and developing this program. So there you have it. The main steps that are necessary in developing a solid weight loss program.
