91  Crystal Space Development / Support / Re: Makefile on: December 11, 2005, 04:18:05 pm
Well, suppose I have some *.h's and *.cpp's in the dir. I want them to be compiled into *.o's and be placed into "obj" subdir. Then I want to link them and place executable in the dir. What should I do?

Thanks.

Well, it created jam files, but I don't get them at all. I don't know how to make it compile several *.o and then link them.

I use 0.99's

Thanks.

By refreshing I mean "a running line from top to bottom which refreshes the screen". So when I turn around or move I see that "line". I mean I see the repainting of all textures. Like when you try to play modern game on an old hardware. But movement itself is quite smooth, only repainting is "distorted by refreshing".

Have a look at the bottom. It seems like some parts of the picture are repainted slower than others.

Thanks.

How should I modify my Makefile so that it CAN compile a CS app?
Code:
LIBS=`cs-config --libs crystalspace`
FLAGS=`cs-config --cxxflags` $(CXXFLAGS)

simple1: simple1.o
        g++ -o simple1 simple1.o $(LIBS) $(FLAGS)
        @./coloured_text
        @rm -rf *~

obj/simple1.o: simple1.h simple1.cpp
        g++ -o obj/simple1.o -c simple1.cpp $(FLAGS)

clean:
        @rm -rf simple1 obj/*.o *~

Don't tell me to use your Makefile. I don't get its code.

Thanks.

Why when I turn around in simple1 example the picture is distorted by refreshing the screen?

Thanks.

While using Simple1 compiled during installation.

Why when I use "-mode=800x600 -fs" or "-mode=640x480 -fs" the screen has only ~75Hz, not 85Hz or higher?
Also with "-mode" used I get the following error:
Code:
X Error of failed request:  BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)
  Major opcode of failed request:  4 (X_DestroyWindow)
  Resource id in failed request:  0x2a00004
  Serial number of failed request:  279
  Current serial number in output stream:  281

Thanks.

I use Slackware Linux 10.1
I've retyped simple1 code. Compilation succeeded, but:
1) I get the following;
2) no respond to key presses at all. I see only one "stoned" wall.

Thanks.
