1  Crystal Space Development / Support / Re: V-Sync in Crystal Space on: September 17, 2006, 10:38:46 am
There's the configuration option Video.VSync. AFAIK works only on Win32 tho.

Thank you!

Thanks. And what do you mean under "not very accurate"?

In that case, what is the best way to do this? If I make big levels, full dynamic lightning is too slow.

In CS, can the dynamic lights light up lightmaps? E.g.: can a flaslight light up a dark corner?

Because the rendering looks distorted during the camera movement (especially the horizontal turning). The movement is smooth, but some parts of the screen refreshed later than the others. Today, I enabled the V-Sync in the nVidia control center, but it has no effect on CS.

Hi Jorrit!

Thanks for your reply.

I don't want to enable V-Sync in the nVidia settings, because CS is the only 3D app which needs that. I'm using a lots of 3D apps and games (both OpenGL and D3D), and all of the apps are running smoothly.

Do you planned to implement V-Sync in a future release of CS?

Hi!

How can I enable V-Sync in CS? In my nVidia settings, V-Sync is application controlled.

Did you fixed the alpha channel problem with shadowed renderloop?

Hi!

I was stopped using Crystal Space three months ago, because I thought it's outdated.

But I see the new screenshots with the castle, the soft shadow, the new CS GUI and the trees, and the only word I can say: amazing!

When the next release come out with these new features? I want to try out and see how does it works!
Does the castle demo uses CG shaders? (I don't like CG at all. What shader types are supported by the new CS?)

Regards,
Escorter
