1  Crystal Space Development / Support / Help installing cs3d on windows using ms visual c++ 2008 on: September 16, 2013, 11:12:47 am
I am using crystalspace-src-2.0 and cs-win32libs-2.0_002, microsoft visual c++ 2008 express edition

When i tried to open wkstypical.sln,nothing happened. I opened it from inside msvc2008 and a popup came that the sln file had been created using an older version of msvc and needs to be converted. I converted the .sln fille and build it. After the build is complete, I get following at the end

Build: 203 succeeded, 2 failed, 18 up-to-date, 0 skipped

i get 2 errors
LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'wxbase28u_html-vc8_d.lib'
LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'wxbase28u_html-vc8_d.lib'

and around 100 warnings in all

the complete build output is here:

I have been trying to install CS since 2.5 days but have not yet been able to install it. This is what I am doing

1.I downloaded and extracted the crystal space 3D version 2.0 and downloaded the associated cs-winlibs (64 bit).
2. I installed cs-winlibs.(VC Typical install)
3. I opened the MVS solution wkstypical in mk/msvc10
4. To include external headers and add libraries, I am making changes in the "Microsoft.Cpp.Win32.user" property sheet.
      a) In Microsoft.Cpp.Win32.user -> properties -> Common Properties-> C/C++ -> general ->Additional Include Directories I added 2 paths
                            C:\shivoam\gameattempt\cs3d\crystalspace-src-2.0\winlibs\x64\include      and
      b) In Microsoft.Cpp.Win32.user -> properties -> Common Properties -> Linker -> general -> Additional Library Directories I added 2 paths
5. When I build the project, I get a bunch of LN2019, LNK2001 and LNK1112 errors. Here is the link to the complete output build
