Hi there, I'm just new to CS. I've been reading the manual, but sometimes it gets confusing.
Well, I just wanted to know how to mount a file in the VFS, for instance, an export .zip file of a scene in blender, using blender2crystal. And how can I start the application with CS, my world.zip, the VFS and Ubuntu (feisty 7.04).

Thanks for the answer. Well, actually, I built the project with jam. But When I wanted to run the project (called ST), using the ST "solution" built with jam:

tuxkhan@tuxkhan-desktop:~$ cd /CS/ST
tuxkhan@tuxkhan-desktop:/CS/ST$ ST

I got these command lines in my terminal:

ST version 1.0 by tuxkhan.
ERROR: Failed to initialize configuration manager!
Error saving configuration '/my/vfs/path/AppST.cfg'.

Sorry if I'm not so "familiar" with CS, I'm trying to read the manual as much as possible.

Hello there, I compiled a version of CS in my Ubuntu (feisty 7.04 spanish) and every demo, sub-application ran correctly. But, when I wanted to make a new CS application, fallowing the "S. Candino method" [http://robotics.ai.uiuc.edu/~scandido/?pg=crystalspace#newapp], and tried to compile the main.cpp on my terminal [/CS/ST/src$ g++ main.cpp -o main], I got multiple errors:

ST.h:12:22: error: cssysdef.h: No existe el fichero ó directorio [File or directory doesn't exist]
ST.h:18:20: error: config.h: No existe el fichero ó directorio
En el fichero incluído de main.cpp:8:
appST.h:11:24: error: csutil/ref.h: No existe el fichero ó directorio
appST.h:12:33: error: csutil/csbaseeventh.h: No existe el fichero ó directorio
appST.h:13:43: error: cstool/csapplicationframework.h: No existe el fichero ó directorio
appST.h:14:28: error: iengine/engine.h: No existe el fichero ó directorio
appST.h:15:28: error: ivideo/graph3d.h: No existe el fichero ó directorio
main.cpp:9:51: error: csutil/sysfunc.h: No existe el fichero ó directorio

It appears that the compiler is not identifying or don't know the path to CS, but I fallowed the tutorial of Candino, and added the CRYSTAL variable to my shell env. I don't know what else could be happening. Also I'm needing some help for the blender2crystal plug-in, (everything works fine in blender: GUI, export...) but when I choose the option Run nothing appears (the log says: created and executed). As far as I'm concerned, the world we created in blender should run using CS engine... (don't know if it's for the same problem as before).
