Making my first level / steps to my own game

Hi Everybody!
I've just downloaded and Installed CrystalSpace and tested some of the examples like "Parallaxtest" and so on....
But I want to make a game and don't know where to start.... I have read that you can "edit" a Level by editing the "World" file and tried it, but i don't know what the values in there mean. it would be intresting for me how to build up a level from "from scratch".
As i looked what this engine can do, i am wondering if i can add those great pixelshader effect just by editing the "World" file and adding some Textures....?!
I don't know if this is the right way to start, but can someone help me?

Well there are two ways to build world files (I know of), first they can be done in xml wich is how you would be editing the exsisting one. For help with that check these links out.

Secondly (and a much easier way if you ask me, though its good to learn the xml) is to use a 3d program, Blender is the most supported in crystal space, though 3dsmax and presumably others can be used. I would suggest checking out blender though, and this tutorial will take you step by step through making a simple world in blender.

PS: always a good idea to check the crystal community
