LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'libcrystalspace.lib'

Hi all,

I'm getting loads of warnings and this error : LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'libcrystalspace.lib'
I will first tell some background information:
- I use CS revision 32140
- I installed CS win32 libs 1.3_004 and copied the dlls over to the VC++ dir
- I use Windows XP SP 2
- I have a 'Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family' video card

Hi,

  it seems you're building Planeshift, but you don't mention whether CS was previously built without any error,
nor if the libcrystalspace.lib file exists.
Did you follow instructions (both CS & PS) for MSVC build to the letter ?
Did you try asking in #psbuild (or #planeshift-build, don't remember the exact name) IRC channel on freenode.net ?
Sorry can't help much, I'm definitely not familiar with MSVC...

I followed the guide correctly and already have been to the #planeshift-build channel. I never succeeded to build CS. Can you tell me where the libcrystalspace.lib is supposed to be?

The thing is, one can't build PS until CS has been built correctly.
So you won't have libcrystalspace.lib until that very first step was achieved successfuly.
Build errors with CS tend to be due to not correctly setting up your dev environment
(ie. not following instructions from the manual).
Please try restarting building CS from scratch until there are no errors then, and only after achieving this successfuly,
try to rebuild PS.
You may get more direct help on PS build IRC channel, or #crystalspace (on freenode server too).

Well the thing is that I'm trying to build CS (the guide states you need  to build wkpsptypical.sln after the installations and I followed it just as it is written) and the build log of that one is in the first post. I trief everything in the guide and keep getting this trouble (I trief about 10 times now). Do you have any ideas left?

Please check and tell us if CS was built correctly
(give a link for the log like you did for PS, if need be).
Until we get that information, we can't really help...

Maybe consider attaching the log to your post? Or just posting it directly?...
