walktest-problem

I just built and installed CS on Ubuntu(latest), but when I`m trying to run the "walktest"-demo, I get the infamous "error while loading shared libraries: libcrystalspace-1.9.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"-error. I have set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to my CS root-dir, so I cant really think of any reason why this is so. Does anyone have any idea?

Ok, so after a number of failed attempts, it finally worked, out of nowhere

Now however, I face the problem of:

"(<unknown>:32289): GVFS-RemoteVolumeMonitor-WARNING **: cannot open directory /usr/share/gvfs/remote-volume-monitors: Error opening directory '/usr/share/gvfs/remote-volume-monitors': No such file or directory
crystalspace.sndsys.renderer.software:  Failed to load driver as [crystalspace.sndsys.software.driver.alsa] or [crystalspace.sndsys.software.driver.crystalspace.sndsys.software.driver.alsa].

The walktest runs, but very inadequatly, with very low framerates. Hope anyone can help!

Are you sure you have accelerated 3D drivers installed?  Type "glxinfo" on a console and make sure that your machine's not using the indirect renderer.

As far as I could see I have direct rendering enabled. This is the beginning of the message I got:

"
