I figured that using multiple textures would be a nice idea, and I had to check if CS supported that, it does in <layer> but i wonder does Walktest support this?

Xotic: since OR was removed, CS no longer supports multiple textures that way(using <layers>) , this can now be accessed via the Detail Add/Multiply/Alpha shaders.

If you mean multiple texture in the 3dsmax way (multi/sub material type), all thingmeshes support that.
Not genmeshes. It is also true that if you use thingmeshes you will have lightmaps.
