  • 08:35, 23 April 2008: Google Summer of Code 2008 Accepted The Google Summer of Code 2008 students for Crystal Space have been selected. Since we have five mentors we decided for five slots and thanks to Google we also got those slots. The following students were accepted: Congratulations to those students. We hope their contributions will be a success and perhaps they can even remain long-time Crystal Space contributors in the future. Of course, selecting those five students means a lot of other students didn't get selected. It is always unfortunate to have to decline very good proposals but that's the nature of the game. We do hope that some of you still decide to work with and for Crystal Space. If you do so then you are warmly invited to work as a volunteer.
  • 10:35, 25 March 2008: Google Summer of Code 2008

Crystal Space is participating in Google Summer of Code 2008. You can (until March 31) submit an application for Crystal Space at this page. You can get a list of ideas here but feel free to submit your own ideas if you want.

  • 08:41, 28 February 2008: Apricot Prototype Game

For people who are not following the Apricot blog yet you probably should. There has been a rather interesting video posted on it which shows the prototype of the game so far and also some art that is in production right now. The team is making good progress so things are looking good! You can find the blog at this location.

And btw, you can still pre-order those DVD's :-)

  • 14:32, 14 January 2008: Apricot First Workshop

Last weekend members of the Crystal Space and Blender teams met in Amsterdam at the workshop about the Apricot OpenGame project. Here you can read a full report.

We still need more presales of the DVD! Now is the time to support Crystal Space and Blender. Thanks a lot for your support.

  • 18:42, 6 December 2007: Apricot Funding Campaign

Finally it starts! The Apricot team has been selected and is ready to make a smashing game using Crystal Space and Blender. In order to support this Apricot project (and support Crystal Space!) you can pre-order the DVD. This is very important for us as it gives us the needed funds to make sure the project can go for six months. You can get more information and pre-order information at The Apricot Blog. Thanks for your support!

  • 07:33, 5 December 2007: Apricot Team Selected

The Apricot Team has been selected! Read more about this at this link. We had a lot of very good candidates so it really was hard to make a selection (and it would have been nice to be able to select more). Congratulations to the selected candidates!

  • 15:59, 27 November 2007: New Server

crystalspace3d.org services were moved to a new server machine. However, the new machine had serious hardware problems. It was replaced with another machine, but then, filesystem bugs practically destroyed any plans our server wizard Andres had for the move. He's working on getting everything up again, as far as he can stretch his sleep deprivation. We're sorry for the inconveniences, but things should start working normally in about a week again.
